St. Anthony Catholic School is proud to host the 15th Annual Run for the Heroes on Monday, May 27, 2024.  The 5k/10K race will take place at St. Anthony Catholic School on Hoffmeyer Road in Florence, SC.  We will honor the memory of our deceased military and recognize the current sacrifices of the Active and Reserve personnel and their families.  As is the tradition, prior to the start of the event, service men and women from various branches of our armed services will participate in a program honoring our military.

Support from the participants, sponsors, volunteers, and the Florence community has enabled the Run for the Heroes to grow each year and secure a place in Florence area running events.  The Run for the Heroes 5K, 10K, and 1-mile Honor Walk courses consist mainly of paved surfaces.  The 10K course combines paved surfaces with a portion of the beautiful Florence Rail Trail winding through the award-winning monuments at Florence Veterans’ Park. The One Mile Honor Walk is an opportunity for families to participate in this patriotic and fitness-oriented activity.

You and/or your company can participate by making a tax-deductible contribution at one of the levels listed on the Sponsorship Agreement.  Proceeds from the event will go to support St. Anthony Catholic School with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the local Pee Dee Chapter of the American Red Cross.  Our hope is that you will support the Run for the Heroes.  For more information on how the Red Cross supports our military and their families, please visit https://www.redcross.org/about-us/our-work/military-families.html.  

You may make your gift by check payable to St. Anthony Catholic School. The check and accompanying Sponsorship Agreement should be mailed to St. Anthony Catholic School, 2536 Hoffmeyer Road, Florence, SC 29501.  Credit card payments may be made via the Sponsorship Payment Page.  Credit Card Processor will access processing fees.  Acknowledgment of your gift will be forwarded to you for tax purposes.  All sponsors will be appropriately recognized during the race and ceremony.  Sponsors wishing to be included on the race t-shirt should submit the sponsorship agreement with payment no later than Friday, May 3.  Patriot, Independence, and Freedom Sponsors should submit their completed Race Registration Form(s) with their completed Sponsorship Agreement.
